OOTD: Spring time in the 20's
I paired some coral colored capri's with a flowy cream colored top which was kind of thin so I wore a tank top underneath. The headband is something I made myself and I just curled my hair with my new curling iron and brushed it out a bit. For arm candy I layered a few gold bangles with a leather cuff and wore a long dangly necklace just to glam things up a bit.
Pants: Coral Capri's, JC Penny $17
Top: American Eagle $10
Tank Top: Wet Seal 5 For $20
Necklace: Forever 21
Headband: My Own Creation!
Random gold bangles that I have collected form various stores over the years
Leather Bow Cuff: My own work :)
Rings:
Middle Finger: Clairs $1 !
Ring Finger: Unicorn ring that the Unicorn broke off of
Forever 21
Pinky: Shark Tooth necklace that I found in the lost and found one time
I decided to take a few head-shots while I had my hair all done up, so I took the Headband off and set up my studio! When I finished up I decided to play with some photo editing and this is what I cm up with!
Personally I like the black and white one the best, mostly because it is kind of quirky and it makes me look like I have really high cheek bones :)
Tutorials that are coming soon!

The leather bow cuff also shown above
Possibly a hair tutorial but I haven't decided yet

Package from Japan!!
So guess what came in the mail today?!
A box clear from Japan! :)
I was really good friends with an exchange student in High School, and she sent me an entire box full of Japanese goodies!
When I first opened it up, and got past the layer of bubble wrap, this is what I saw!!
12 Pieces of Japanese chocolates! Black, Milk, and Meiji! I think the black is dark, the milk is milk and I have no idea what the meiji is!
A Jumbo Pack of strawberry Pocky! This is something that I have already tried, and you can get them in the U.S as well :) The special thing about these is that they are heart shaped!
These are chocolate creme filled cookies, something that I have had before as well. They are so good and how cute are those koalas1?!?
Now I have no Idea what the heck these are. Prawn fries maybe? I Haven't tried them yet, mostly because I am a chicken! Hopefully they are good!
I have had these little candies before as well, and they are so good and surprisingly juicy! There are 4 flavors and red is by far ,my favorite!
I was so surprised to come home and find that a box, all the way from Japan had found it's way to my house! I can't wait to send a box to my Friend, it will most likely be full of skittles because she loves them!
I will be sure to post about what I send to Japan in the very near future!

Man Catching Homemade Oreo's
Ok! So this is possibly the easiest cookie recipe of all!
All you need is a box Cake mix, eggs and butter!
The cookies:
1 Box Cake Mix
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Melted Butter
Mix together:
Spoon out 1 TBS scoops onto pans
Cook for 12 min. at 350
Fill with Cream cheese frosting, either homemade or from a box, both taste great!
Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 ounces Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Softened butter
2-4 cups of powdered sugar - depending on how you like it
El Fin!!!
I rolled the outside frosting in red white and blue sprinkles because I made them for a school presentation on patriotism and they were a big hit!!
I doubled the recipe for the cookies shown above, I had to be sure there was enough for the whole class!!
And yes, I did bring class treats to a college presentation :)
...and everyone loved them

Dainty Lace and Trim Score!!!
The overall look of the lace and trim selection is totally mermaid chic!
So, I was at JoAnn's today helping my sister get a few things for a costume she is making. Well, once she had the majority of her things, I thought I would wander around while she finished up. Then out of the blue I thought to go look at the by the yard trims and lace. I found a bunch of 99 cent trims! I got a yard and a half of each!
This one I have big plans for! It is so vintage-y mermaid to me, I think it will go so well with everything.
this one is actually a much beautiful color in real life, but my camera couldn't capture it as well as I would have liked. It is actually curtain trim, but I am really excited to make something out of it!
This one! Oh how this tinny string makes my heart sing! It's like beach-y sophistication :)It looks like the picture is blurry, but it really isn't, the colors of the trim just blend together really well.
This one is the thickest of all the trims that I bought. I have some really great ideas for this lace!
Small, white, daisy chains! This is such a cute little piece! I am so excited for whatever I end up making with this!
This one is exactly the same as the bluish greenish rope at the top of the post, except it is a cream color. I love the nauticalness of it! It really reminds me of the water, and big ships :) I love the ocean
All in all, I think it was a major score. The color scheme of the entire selection really reminds me of mermaids. I am thinking of doing an entire series on dainty headbands/hair accessories. I know I post a lot of hair things, and I am going to try really hard to post more big thins, like skirts, shirts and dresses. But until then, I am content to make smaller things :)
