DIY A Plain Old Bag Into A Cute, Chic Gift Bag!

3 Pieces of ribbon
2 inches
8 inches
10 inches

Glue the ends to each other, to form circles, out of the 8 and 10 inch ribbon

Glue the middles together to form 2 figure 8's

Glue the two bowes, the 8 inch on top of the 10 inch

Wrap the 2 inch piece of ribbon around the center of the bow

Measure around your bag and then add about 4 inches, just in case

Fold your bag down

Decide where you want your ribbon to go

Mark it with a pencil

Measure from the bottom of the bag to the mark you just made, and measure up the entire bag, so you have a guideline for the next step

Use Elmer's glue to pipe a line on the pencil marks

For extra suport, I used a square tupperware container to add structure to those hard to get to spots on your bag

This is what your bag will look like

glue the bow on the middle of the bow, I glued it to the part of the ribbon that overlapped

This is the finished product! It looked really nice, and my cousin (whom the gift was for) really liked it, unfortunately the bow was not glued down securely enough and it fell off!! But other than that, it worked really well!

Clair's 10 for $10 Haul

I was walking through the mall and I stopped by Clair's, and man was that a good decision! In the back on the clearance rack was a sign that read "10 for $10"!! So what did I do? I spent $10, that's what I did!!

Bow Earrings
Very cute while still being stylish.
When I saw these, I knew that I must buy them. There was no way I could pass them up, and here's why: My favorite K-Drama of all time is called "Your beautiful" about 3/4 of the way through the drama, Tae Kung (One of the male leads, and the leader of the singing group)gives Go Mi Nam (who is really Go Mi Nyo, but is pretending to be her brother so that he doesn't loose his spot in the band- the same band that Tae Kung is in) a bow hair pin that looks just like these earrings! And that part of the show is so cute because Tae Kung is completely taken by Mi Nam! So there is my rant about cute K-Dramas.

Symbol earrings
I dont know what language this is in, my guess is chinese but correct me if I am wrong, but it means "Dream" which describes me perfectly! They are small and dainty and I think that is what I really like about them

Mermaid Ring
I am calling this my "Mermaid Ring" because it is big and shiney. The designs carved in it are very beautiful, this ring is defiantly something I can see a mermaid coveting, or finding in a treasure chest and wearing forever.

Hunk-a-jewle
This ring I bought most likely because it was big, and only one dollar. I think my sister would like it better than I do. She is into really big gaudy things and this suits her well.

Saturn
this necklace was simple and kind of cheep, but I liked it because Saturn is my favorite planet and I think it would be super funny to wear to my astronomy class!

Cheep Metal Gold
I love this necklace! I really like short necklaces that are chic and sophisticated and this is both! Even though it is just cheep metal, to me it is pure gold! I may never take it off!

Chains and ties
Again just one I got because it was just a dollar. They are silver, and matched everything in my closet so I plan on wearing them when I can't think of anything else to wear.

Audrey Hepburn in plastic
These simple tear drop earrings are accentuated with small gold butterflies, I can see the beautiful Audrey wearing these with a simple black dress and looking fabulous. Yes, I am going to try my best to look as good as she would be.

Color blocking Native American Dangly Earrings
I am not the best color blocker in the world, but maybe these cute yet bold earrings will inspire me to do more of this unique fashion technique.

Ombre Tassels
I have been looking for a bold set of tassel earrings for some time now and when I saw these were only a dollar I how could I resist? They are very long but very light and I am so looking forward to summer when I can rock them to their full potential!

Oreo French Macaroons

Le Second Try
Chocolate cookies with cream cheese filling
a.k.a. Oreo Macaroons

Here is the finished product!

In a food processor or blender, mix the almond flour, powdered sugar and cocoa powder together

In a separate bowel, whip the egg whites until frothy

Then add the sugar and whip until the mix can form peaks

Sift the dry mix into the egg and sugar foamy mix

Not all of the dry mix will be sifted through, there will be a few bits of almonds left over, DO NOT MIX THESE IN!!

Fold the two mixes in with one another

The cookies on the left are the ones that have already been cooked, and the ones on the right are uncooked
To pipe them out onto the parchment paper covered metal pan, fill a plastic bag and clip the corner

Mix the butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese to form the filling

La Fin!

The chocolate cookies:
1 cup (100 gr) powdered sugar
½ cup powdered almonds (about 2 ounces, 50 gr, sliced almonds, pulverized)
3 tablespoons (25 gr) unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
2 large egg whites, at room temperature
5 tablespoons (65 gr) granulated sugar

I found the cookie recipe from this website
http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2005/10/french-chocolat/

The Filling:
4-6 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbs. Butter
4 ounces of cream cheese - half a package

This recipe is not exact, It is just an estimate, you can use more or less of any of the filing ingredients to your liking.

after a whole month of working out!

Now I realize this was taken almost a month ago,but I finally got around to editing the silhouette of the second photo and decided to put it up and talk about my fitness journey!

So basically I have only missed 3 days of working out for the past month! Every day I run/jog at least a mile, and I try to do Kim Kardashians fit in your jeans by friday work out, and every day I do about 5 minuets of abs/core. Some days I go on a walk with my mom and we do about 2 miles of interval training when we fast walk in-between every other mailbox. I am super cheep I know, but it's really working for me and I always feel great after working out!

Alright, I am not afraid to talk about how much I weigh, because it is no secret, and I am not ashamed of it. I am 6 feet tall and I used to weigh 183 pounds! That was at the beginning of the year. I was not fat, and I didn't consider myself chunky either. At the beginning of the year I was a size 12, but my pants were a bit tight. Now I am 178 pounds and I fit into a size 10! I have lost about 2 inches on my waist and 2 inches around my bum. and about an inch and a half around each leg.

I am continuing to work out and I will be sure to make more posts about my fitness journey! I want to get to 170 pounds some time. I am not going to set a date that I want to make that weight by, I just mostly want to get healthy and have more energy!

Also, That picture is really of me, I used sketchbook pro, and my Wacomb Bamboo Tablet to color in my silhouette.
